As of 18th October 2013, Barnacles Restaurant & Bar Bistro has changed hands and is now under new management.
A little bit of history...
Some of you may know that Barnacles Restaurant was first opened in 1992 by David & Fenella Freeman. David & Fenella saw that there was a real desire for a specialist fish restaurant in the local area to run alongside their already successful fish supply business.
David and Fenella nurtured and grew the business at an astounding pace; securing Barnacles a proud place on the foodie map. The reputation grew and over their 8 year reign, Barnacles Restaurant established itself as a fine dining, good quality restaurant that was loved by many.
In 2000, David & Fenella sold the business, to focus on other projects. Barnacles has been a highly regarded restaurant in the midlands, and celebrated its 22nd Birthday this year!
Today, the Freeman Family has taken back the reigns of Barnacles Restaurant! We are excited to let you know that we will be your new hosts, and look forward to welcoming you as our guests to our family run restaurant!

About Barnacles Restaurant & Bar Bistro
Based in the heart of the midlands seafood has been our first love since we opened in early 1992 and continues to be till this day.
Our Fish & Shellfish are sourced from reputable suppliers such as M&J Seafoods and Direct Seafoods both who share our strong policy of sourcing sustainable products . Our lobster is kept live on site in specifically adapted water tanks enabling us to have the freshest product available.
A common misconception is 'that we only do fish', not so, we have always offered a range of dishes based on traditional prime cuts of meat supplied by local butcher Joseph Morris, a traditional quality butchers and family business established back in 1930.
The restaurant is privately owned, overlooks a fishing lake and is surrounded with widlife, on arrival its not unusual for you to have to negotiate the resident ducks and wild rabbits.
The buildings' origins date back over 200 years and its outset was that of a granary belonging to the monks of Coombe Abbey.
To this day, Barnacles continues the tradition of providing its customers with excellent food & service in a comfortable atmosphere.
An excellent venue for entertaining business clients or celebrating an important date or maybe just because you fancy a little bit of self indulgence!
